To place a custom order request, please fill out the form below, or send an email to m@craftsbymaya.com. Please provide the following information (and anything else you think I should know):
- Item Type, such as larger handbag (sunflower bag below), smaller clutch, drawstring bag, custom animal plush. Note that I DO NOT MAKE CLOTHING, (besides the occasional hat/beanie) but I DO MAKE BLANKETS. Please see the custom blankets section for more info. IF ORDERING A BAG PLEASE SEE THE BAG SECTION BELOW.
- Please state if you already have a specific desired pattern (or photo, send a link or image) for the item, or specify any items you’ve seen on the site. Give any details that would be helpful to make the item, especially any variations from pattern, picture, or my current items.
- Provide any sizing information (big, small, compared to an item, etc., or specific height/width/depth measurements).
- List your color preferences (if I don’t have stock, I will let you know, and discuss either custom ordering yarn or alternative colors).
- Your full name and email address. You can separately provide a phone number if you prefer to discuss by text instead of email. But email is still needed to send an invoice for review.
PLEASE READ AND NOTE THESE IMPORTANT THINGS BEFORE MAKING A CUSTOM ORDER REQUEST:
- Depending on the particular item, size, complexity, and colors, the resulting price WILL VARY. There may be some room for negotiation, however the amount of time to create the item, and cost of materials, only allow so much flexibility.
- For all items, you will be sent an invoice to review before actually placing the order. For anything complex, I need to request payment of 50% up-front, and 50% upon delivery. Should an order be cancelled after work has started, the pre-payment will not be refunded except under special circumstances, or if I’m unable to complete the custom item.
- Note you are making a request, not yet placing an order. Because of my ability to make certain patterns, I may need to turn down certain requests. Apologies in advance!
- I will give my best estimate for how long the item will take to produce, but I cannot and will not guarantee a delivery date.
- I AM CURRENTLY A PLUSH YARN ARTIST, I WILL DO COTTON/ACRYLIC YARN ORDERS ONLY WITH SPECIAL REQUESTS ON ITEMS SUCH AS BAGS AND HATS . COTTON/YARN REQUESTS HAVE LIMITED ITEM OPTIONS AND ARE NOT GUARANTEED. PLEASE NOTE THIS WHEN MAKING YOUR REQUEST! Thank you!
FOR BAGS PLEASE LIST:
– Approx. wanted size
– Type (ex: tote bag, crossover, etc.)
– Type of yarn wanted (Plush, Thin Small Cotton, Thin Large Cotton or Thick Large Cotton), Thick Large Cotton will not be a squishy/flexible bag, texter will be more rough and stiff. Good for electronic cases too.
-If a closing flap, button or zipper is desired for the final bag.
– If pockets are wanted (Limited amount and location depending on size)
– PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR HEIGHT. This is very important so that your bag will fit you.
BAG COLOR:
If a single or double color is wanted (meaning plain or multicolor string) please list your wanted colors and location(such as the pink bag with purple edging + handle shown below)
If a pattern/design is wanted, please link images or email me.
This includes block pattern bags, such as the sunflower one shown below

Front image bags, such as a large butterfly outline on the front panel can be created with pixel images.
These bags especially will need further discussion through text or email to determine the correct creation you are looking for. Feel free to contact me for ideas/visuals!
FOR CUSTOM PIXEL TAPESTRIES:
You can either contact me with some ideas or you can go onto Google or Pinterest and find one you like.
Use keywords such as : pixel art grid, cross stitch grid, etc and add what you are looking for with it, EX. Flowers or Disney. They should look like these:
Please also indicate your wanted size. This can be adapted for different designs but it may not work for some.
Price will vary depending on size, yarn type and difficulty of design. DETAILED DESIGNS WILL HAVE A HIGHER PRICE NO MATTER THE SIZE.
